A passion for students, learning and community has been at the center of Mrs. McClellan’s work over her 40 year career. A lifetime learner, Mrs. McClellan has served students, staff and families in diverse roles and educational settings:

• Special education teacher, in residential, day treatment and public schools;

• Consultant and teacher leader roles, at both the local and state levels;

• Elementary principal in a high performing low socioeconomic school; and

• District leadership for over 13 years.

When not immersed in the exciting work of teaching, learning and leading, Michelle spends time with her growing family (she has two grandchildren with more on the way!) and enjoying the beauty of Maine.
