I am saddened that our Town Manager, Matt Sturgis, final day will be on Wednesday [May 8]. He is  becoming the Town Manager of Cumberland. I have enjoyed working with Matt over the past three years and I certainly appreciate how wonderful it is as superintendent  to have such a positive and productive working relationship with the town manager. In particular, Matt has been instrumental in his work with SBAC this past year and has always served as a great sounding board as we both aim to lead and tackle all the challenges that come before us. After 20+ years of commuting from Gray, I know he is ready to work closer to home. Matt will certainly be missed at Town Hall. We are pleased that former Town Manager, Mike McGovern, will be filling in on an interim basis until the Town Council hires a replacement.
