On Oct 23 (2024), about 100 parents and children gathered in the CEHS Library for a showing of the updated documentary, Screenagers: Elementary School Age Edition. Close to 30 people, mostly elementary and middle school families, stayed for a discussion that followed.
Thank you to CEEF for funding this opportunity.
This new version of the original Screenagers documentary addresses issues and potential solutions that elementary school-aged kids, their parents/guardians, and educators are facing, including smartwatches in class, disconnecting from and monitoring video games, social media pressures, when to introduce technology, and what research shows is a healthy amount of screen time.
