Cape Elizabeth changed our notification system from last year to this year (our previous provider went out of business). We recognize that many people rely upon text messages for notification.
To ensure that you are receiving notifications, two things need to be in place:
We must have your cell phone number on file in PowerSchool.
You must OPT-In to the texting service.
1. Making Sure Your Cell Phone Number is On File
You can check to make sure that your cell phone is on file.
Log in to the PowerSchool parent portal.
Click on Forms along the left panel
Select "02. Legal Guardians [RS]"
Scroll down to the field that says "Parent/Guardian 1 Cell Phone" and confirm that there is a cell phone number in that field.
Repeat with each Parent/Guardian field
*Special note that you can enter or update a cell phone number, but it must be approved by the school office before it will take effect.
2. OPT-In to Text Messages
Text 67587 with the message of "Opt in" from the number on file in PowerSchool.
